MSM is grateful for the support of those who see the importance of what we do. Training those with medical skills to a higher level helps them achieve more in demanding situations overseas. Healthcare personnel in training from one of Africa’s poorest countries

MSM is currently helping two healthcare workers from Chad to take further training elsewhere in Africa. One is taking a course in Burkina Faso; this will enable him to be the anaesthetist for the mission hospital at Bebalem which currently only has auxiliary nurses giving simple anaesthetics for major operations. Hope 4 The World – Healthcare Teaching on the Thailand/Burma Border 2011

MSM was privileged to be among those who helped to finance a group of Christians from the UK working with Hope 4 The World in the training programme in a remote area onf the border of one of the world’s least accessible countries.

Essay

This was the winning entry in the 2011 Student Essay Competition. Its author, Steve Hibbs, is currently serving short-term in a Christian hospital in rural NW Pakistan. It is hoped to organise another student essay competition in 2012-13.
